I guess I was just really in the mood for loveable characters antagonizing each other (and swans and ducks, and other water fowl) and when that stopped I got sad. Then they acknowledged they were attracted to each other, and it got a little bit less fun for some reason. I also loved the way that Eve just bungled her way into this wonderful dream job, and the atmosphere of the B&B. The enmity between Jacob and Eve was so good, and they were so baffled by each other, and each so separately lovely and good at different things.
I will say, for the first half of this book (an excellent example of the hate to love trope), this was shaping up to be my favorite of the three books. I have not yet been satisfied by anything I have written about Talia Hibbert’s books. I’m going to be three for three on this series for writing inadequate reviews for how much I enjoyed them.
