Like, why do the demons still want Gaby? Are the love couples going to be actually together? Are we going to know – officially know- who did this to Gaby and Jude? I mean, I already know who did this, buuut it’d be super nice to know the characters reactions to the news, and why exactly it happened. I still have a lot of questions about the rest of the series though. The things that come to light when you’re reviewing a book! Holy crap! How did I not expect that?! I just realized, after finishing this book, who did what, and holy crap? How did I not notice this before. I think at the end there, he forgot which version of you he was fighting.” “There were moments when you fought like the old Gabe. Nearing the end though, I’m somewhat happy that the love interest is closer to hopefully becoming an item, because honestly, there’s already so much angst. Little changes between characters in this book. I’m thinking that the events had this book were at a few days at most. I mean, but the time this book starts, the events of the last book had taken the time of a week. The characters in this book are pretty much exactly the same as to the last book. In Haze though, maybe because I feel like it’s been a year since I read Shadows, but I actually appreciated the recap of the last book in this story. I really truly feel that Haze is just a placeholder book in the series that this book is the pre-game before the big bang or something. Like, maybe that’s not all, and maybe what I had predicted for this book will come true in the next book, Shimmer. But that’s the thing though, right? My prediction still feels right. There was only thing that I had predicted correctly. I thought the book would go in a way that would be entirely predictable, but the story wasn’t that predictable at all. I was a little nervous about reading Haze, honestly. So why isn’t she out there looking for him?” She knows she’s alive when she’s meant to be dead. She is one of the Rephaim – a wingless half angel, descended from the Fallen. With him, her blood-soaked nightmares stopped. She was slowly getting over the death of her twin brother, Jude. “ Gaby Winters’ life used to be pretty normal. And there will be spoilers in this review, so you’ve been warned! Haze is the second book in the Rephaim series by Paula Weston.
